Hobart Human Library
The Hobart Human Library is an innovative initiative that offers unique forums in workplaces and schools across Tasmania. Our mission is to promote inclusion, diversity, and understanding by providing opportunities for people to engage directly with individuals who have experienced discrimination or social exclusion.
What We Offer
Our “human books” are trained volunteers who share their personal stories of overcoming adversity, whether it’s related to race, disability, gender identity, or any other form of discrimination. Each session provides a safe and open space for dialogue, allowing participants to ask questions and gain insights that challenge stereotypes and broaden perspectives.
Why Choose Us?
- Increased Empathy: Our sessions foster empathy and understanding among participants.
- Inclusive Learning: We create environments where diverse voices are heard and respected.
- Customised Experiences: We tailor our forums to meet the specific needs of your organisation or school.
